- I am very glad that we have been together again and that we will intensify cooperation in the upcoming period. Our common goal is to organize EUG 2020 in the best possible way. We want to have the most successful event in the history of EUSA. In the recent period, the Board for the organization of the fifth European Universities Games was constituted with Prime Minister Ms. Ana Brnabic at the helm, which is guarantee that all state institutions will work closely in the organization.
The chairman of Supervision committee, Mr. Kemal Tamer, praised all the efforts made by organizing team of EUG 2020:
- When we talk about Serbia, we knew about experienced organizers of prestigious sports events, so we hope that EUG 2020 will be one of the best until now. We always enjoy in Belgrade. We wanted to see what is done in the past five months and I can add that we are satisfied. Our common goal is to have successful Games which will be an example for the future.
The EUSA Secretary-General, Mr. Matjaz Pecovnik stated that expression “supervision” has to be replaced with “coordination”, as both teams are doing the same thing:
- Games are our common goal. If we take into consideration that Games are in 250 days and all the difficulties with the organization in the last three years, I have to say that we are again on the right way. So, we can expect well-organized Games, maybe even the best so far.
The 5th European University Games 2020 will be held between July 12-25 in Belgrade, attended by 5.500 athletes in 21 sports from 400 Universities across Europe.
