Preparations for the upcoming 5th European Universities Games were an important part of last week’s meeting of the EUSA Executive Committee.

The EUG 2021 organizing committee representative and the director of the company Mr Predrag Jušković informed the members of the EUSA Executive Committee headed by the president Mr Adam Roczek about the situation in organizing the Games through a report and plans for next year. Great attention was paid to the safety of all participants, and for that purpose several versions of health and safety protocols were made in accordance with a team of medical experts.

The meeting of the EUSA Executive Committee, in line with the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, was held online. All activities in 2020 and plans for the next year, when the organization of event in the Serbian capital will have a central place, were discussed.

The 5th European Universities Games in Belgrade will be held from July 14 to 27, 2021. More than 5,000 participants from 600 universities from 40 European countries are expected, which would make sports-academic days in a city known for organizing major international sports events unforgettable and set some new records in the history of competitions that have been held since 2012.

Registration for the Games reopened on November 1st.
